The drawings of 1990 (partly shown in a large-scale feminist project called Dissonance, in Central Core in the Triad series of exhibitions curated by me at Galerie Constantinople Queanbeyan 1991) used plant pigments I created, made into large ink blots on paper, then drawn into, left and right hand working simultaneously. These drawings were meditative and intuitive; the use of both hands working together felt like a healing of apposite dualities within myself and more broadly within the Western world. (A set of these drawings was purchased by The National Gallery of Australia.)
Materials: paper, hand-made pigments, graphite, rubber.
