For a show coming up in May 2022 at the Narooma Gallery with Barbara McConchie, I’m looking closely at bits of detritus from the natural world that I’ve collected over the years because of their superb geometry and evolutionary innovation. These works are small and intimate - 48 cm x 20 cm - made using watercolour, scratchy board, sandpaper, dremel drill, oil paint. They could be viewed as celebrations of intricacy, also as relics of a dying world.
