Migratory Birds (ANCA Gallery Canberra 2000, and in 4 Ply in The Gabriel Gallery Footscray Community Arts Centre Melbourne as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2000) was a flock of non-indigenous birds cut out of aluminium flashing as a reminder of the complexity of modern global migrations: of flora and fauna, viruses and algae, and humans. Migratory ‘birds’ often do not return home.
